Co-ops in:

Housing

A housing co-op is a group of people who manage and control the housing in which they live.

Each resident is a member of the housing co-op and has an equal say in the decision-making. No member individually owns or makes a profit at the expense of the others.

Currently, there are over 600 housing co-ops in the U.K., 41 in Scotland, 26 in Wales and 3 in Northern Ireland. Housing co-ops provide additional benefits as well as affordable housing – they bring a sense of community and pride to where they live.
